Frontend

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.

Backend

• Professional experience with Node.js or Python.
• Experience building or maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of backend application architecture.
• Familiarity with:
• Authentication & authorization
• API validation
• Error handling
• Logging
• Third-party integrations
• Asynchronous processing
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases.
• Understanding of database relationships, queries, indexing, and basic data modelling.

Engineering

• Strong Git and version-control practices.
• Experience working with code reviews and collaborative development.
• Understanding of automated testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand and work within an existing codebase.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical problems.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Requirements

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong professional experience with React.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js or Python.
• Experience delivering production applications/features.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and databases.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently with evolving requirements.
• Comfortable working in a client-facing engineering environment.
• Willingness to work from Bengaluru in an on-site/hybrid arrangement depending on project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade web applications using React.js and TypeScript.
• Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable UI components.
• Translate product requirements and designs into responsive, accessible, and performant user experiences.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Contribute to backend services using Node.js or Python.
• Work with backend engineers to design and implement effective application data flows.
• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Implement authentication, authorization, validation, error handling, and application-level security.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs.
• Debug issues across frontend, backend, API, and database layers.
• Optimize application performance and identify technical bottlenecks.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.
• Work with Git-based development workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, engineers, and client stakeholders.
• Take ownership of features from requirement → development → testing → deployment → production support.
• Contribute to technical architecture and engineering decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

• Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Experience building or maintaining component libraries/design systems.
• Experience with WebSockets or real-time applications.
• Experience integrating AI/ML APIs or building AI-enabled applications.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, observability, and production debugging.
• Open-source contributions or a strong GitHub portfolio.

We're looking for an engineer who can take a problem and figure out how to solve it.

You might spend most of your day building a complex React interface, but you should also be comfortable opening a Python or Node.js service, understanding an API, fixing a backend issue, or working out why a database query is causing a performance problem.

You own the outcome, not just the frontend ticket.

You should be comfortable asking:

"What is the best way to solve this problem?"

rather than:

"What frontend ticket should I implement?
