Job Description – Senior QA Analyst
1. Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Analyst with strong expertise in Android and iOS mobile application testing, API/Backend validation, and deep domain knowledge in Fintech (Cards, UPI, Lending). The ideal candidate should be capable of independently owning end-to-end QA cycles, ensuring high-quality releases in a fast-paced fintech environment.
2. Key Responsibilities
Mobile Testing (Android & iOS)
- Perform end-to-end testing of Android and iOS applications.
- Validate new feature releases, regression suites, and hotfix deployments.
- Test across devices, OS versions, and network conditions.
- Experience with Play Store & TestFlight build validation cycles.
- Ensure compliance with app security and performance standards.
API / Backend Testing
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman / Swagger.
- Validate request-response structures, error handling, and edge cases.
- Perform integration testing between mobile and backend services.
- Validate database-level changes when required (SQL/MongoDB preferred).
- Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
Fintech Domain Expertise
- Strong understanding of payment lifecycle and transaction flows.
- Hands-on testing experience in Cards (Debit/Credit/Prepaid) – issuance, activation, tokenization, limits, transaction flows.
- UPI – collect requests, intent flow, mandates, refunds, reconciliation.
- Lending – loan journey, KYC, underwriting, disbursal, repayment, foreclosure.
- Exposure to compliance and regulatory testing is a plus.
Test Planning & Execution
- Create detailed test cases and test scenarios
- Analyze the requirements and provide estimations
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Identify high-risk areas and perform exploratory testing.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Backend, Mobile, and Business teams.
Defect Management
- Log detailed, reproducible bugs in Jira.
- Perform root cause analysis where applicable.
- Follow up with developers for timely resolution.
- Validate fixes and perform impact analysis.
3. Required Skills & Experience
- 4–5 years of experience in QA.
- Minimum 2+ years in Mobile App Testing (Android & iOS).
- Strong experience in API testing.
- Experience in Fintech domain – Mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with Postman, Jira, Charles/Fiddler (preferred), Firebase/Crashlytics (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of SQL / NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of CI/CD workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
4. Good to Have
- Automation experience (Appium / Selenium)
- Performance testing exposure.
- Security testing basics.
- Experience in production release validation and war-room support.
